The “Profesor Daniel F. Hernández” Judo Tournament will be held in our city from October 13 to 15 at the José María Arteaga Auditorium facilities, where a great atmosphere is expected, but above all, it will serve to spread what it is. Judo and what better than with the participation of athletes from 29 states of the country.
The president of the Judo Association of the State of Querétaro, Alfonso Téllez Valverde, announced what this important sporting event will be, highlighting that in 2019 the first tournament was held and 700 athletes participated, so the economic impact will be very important.
“In 2019 we had it, this is the second edition, in the first we had 700 athletes, this year more than 600 athletes have been confirmed so far, more coaches, more delegates, more parents, we consider that it is an important benefit for the State of Querétaro”.
Téllez Velarde recalled that the event will be held on October 13, 14 and 15 at the facilities of the Arteaga Auditorium, a setting in which it is expected that, in the near future, they will seek to bring international level events.
“The event is going to be next week on the 13th, 14th and 15th in the Arteaga auditorium, we consider that with that type of scenario we will surely bring an international event very soon.”
Belarmino Salgado, pointed out that there will be a total of 50 people from Querétaro who will be participating in this tournament, in the different categories, highlighting that in the first force there will be athletes such as Enders Juárez and Christopher Córdoba Cárdenas, so the expectation is that our entity will place in the first places of the event.

“On the topic of participation of athletes from Querétaro, we will have a total of 50 athletes in the different categories, first of all despite the participation of Gilberto Cardoso due to the camp he has in Japan, but Enders Juárez will be participating who is Pan American champion, Cristopher Córdoba is also Pan American champion, I have no doubt that we are going to be fighting for the first places.
The opening of this event will be on Saturday, October 14 at 8:00 a.m., highlighting that they will conclude around 8:00 p.m., the same as on Sunday, so they will be days full of intensity in the facilities of the Arteaga Auditorium.
