Martinelli and Mulino, the new presidential duo facing the 2024 elections

Of the 58 members who voted in the National Directory of Realizing Goals (RM), José Raúl Mulino has the support of 56, and in this way it was ratified as vice presidential candidate in the payroll headed by Ricardo Martinelli Berrocal.

Likewise, sYour candidacy received the endorsement of the members of the Alianza Party, With which RM is part of the ‘Alliance to Save Panama’.

Mulino was Minister of Security in the Martinelli government and one of the principals persecuted by the government of Juan Carlos Varela, being detained for more than six months.

Was presidential candidate for Democratic Change (CD) in 2018, coming second and accompanied Martinelli to found the Realizing Goals (RM) match, after the CD board of directors denied the call for a national convention to renew its leadership.

In his career, Mulino, 64, was vice chancellor and chancellor in the government of Guillermo Endara Galimani (1989-1994).

Furthermore, he was part of the National Council of Foreign Relations and was a substitute magistrate of the Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice.

A professional level, he presided over the Panamanian Association of Business Executives (Apede), from 1989 to 1990, at the end of the military dictatorship that he faced and also held, in that same period, the vice presidency of the National Council of Private Enterprise (Conep).
