The hosts become dangerous in the 12th minute with Dovbyk’s solo , then shortly after Dimitrievski is reactive and lucky on Mudryk. In the 30th minute, however, the 1-0 was inevitable thanks to Sudakov’s right-footed shot, but Serafimov’s clear deflection stunned the visiting goalkeeper. Six minutes later the first opportunities arrive for Macedonia, with Trubin first stopping Miovski, then Ashkovski. The opportunities also arrived in the second half: the Benfica goalkeeper stopped Churlinov, while on the other side Mudryk made a sensational mistake only ahead of Dimitrievski and on the hour mark Matviienko hit the crossbar with his head from a corner. Another uppercut hits Sudakov in the 81st minute, but this time thanks to a super save from Dimitrievski. Watkins.

G GROUP

Hungary perhaps takes the decisive step to fly to Euro 2024: in the direct clash for first place, in fact, a 2-1 win comes against Serbia, without Dusan Vlahovic. All the goals were scored on Hungarian soil in the first half: the hosts took the lead with Varga in the 20th minute, then the guests equalized with Pavlovic in the 33rd minute. But the 1-1 lasted just a minute then
Scarves scores the decisive goal. Stojkovic’s substitutions were useless in the second half (including, at the beginning of the second half, that of the Juventus player Kostic who replaced Terzic). Hungary is now first on 13 points, with Serbia second on 10 (but with one game more than Rossi’s men) and Montenegro on 8. In the other match of the group, Lithuania beats 2-0 Bulgaria, which definitively says goodbye to its hopes of qualifying. In Sofia, the best on the pitch was Sirvys, who scored first in the 45th minute and then doubled the score in the 55th minute on an assist from Lasickas, whose goal in the 74th minute was instead cancelled.

GROUP H

In group H the decisive breakthrough could have arrived: Denmark and Slovenia scored, beating Kazakhstan and Finland respectively. The formation of
Wheelman sets things straight at the end of the first half: in the 36th minute, in fact, Wind gives the home team the lead, but the first of Skov’s two goals is crucial in injury time, sending the teams into the break at 2- 0 for the Danes. The second, however, came at the start of the second half on an assist from Eriksen, so in the 48th minute it was already 3-0 and the game was over: Vorogovskiy’s final seal was only needed for the statistics. Now, it is +4 on Finland and Kazakhstan for Denmark, ever closer to qualification. Same points for the Slovenians, who won 3-0 in the crucial match against Finland. In the 28th minute, the hosts were already at a double advantage thanks to Sesko, who first scored from a penalty in the 16th minute, then scored his personal brace. Pohjanpalo comes on in the second half, but the Scandinavians are unable to reopen the match. Indeed: in the 92nd minute, Janza closes the game. In the direct clash at the bottom of the table, however, Northern Ireland beat San Marino 3-0: in the 11th minute they already had a double lead thanks to goals from Smyth (who scored in the 5th minute and saw the possible double canceled out in the 31st ‘) and Magennis, then in the 81st minute McMenamin scored the final hat trick.
