In Santiago del Estero (Argentina), two French people competed for the final victory at the start of the weekend and the last two rounds of the season. Romain Mahieu approached it by a short head, and kept it after his 2nd place on Friday and his victory – his fifth out of nine rounds – on Saturday, completing his full year.
Eight of the nine rounds of the World Cup won by the French
Among the Blues, he ultimately only missed one round of the World Cup to carry out a total raid on this season. On Friday, the penultimate round of the season had escaped Mahieu and Daudet, the only winners until then, and had fallen to the American Cameron Wood.
Daudet, 4th Friday and 6th Saturday, finished runner-up to Mahieu overall. The latter succeeds another Frenchman, Sylvain AndrĂ© – who could have reached the general podium without his broken forearm last weekend.
