Wing, the new bone conduction headphones from Suunto

There are those who choose the comfort of their sofa, while athletes prefer to breathe the fresh air of the forest, sweat and challenge themselves physically. Always looking for the perfect solution, today Suunto is the first sports company to present a new audio product developed by athletes for athletes: the new Suunto Wing sports headphones with bone conduction technology (open ear).
Unlike traditional headphones that transmit acoustic vibrations through the air, Suunto Wing uses a more innovative sound transmission method.

Wing, the new bone conduction headphones from Suunto

Bone-Sound technology transmits vibrations directly to the inner ear through the cheekbones, avoiding the eardrum. This allows users to continue to hear the sounds around them, such as the noise of approaching vehicles or the bell of a bicycle, increasing safety both in an urban environment and in nature. Additionally, bone-sound headphones do not create pressure in the ear canal, making them more comfortable to wear for a long time.

Lightweight, resistant and IP67 certified

IP67 certification makes Suunto WING resistant to temporary submersion in a maximum depth of one meter of water for up to 30 minutes, so they are durable enough for all weather conditions. They work perfectly from -20°C to +60°C.

Suunto Wing, made of titanium and silicone, weighs 33 grams and works even at -20°C
Bone-Sound technology allows vibrations to be transmitted directly to the inner ear through the cheekbones, avoiding the eardrum. This means that ambient sounds, such as the sound of a starting avalanche or the approach of an electric vehicle, are not blocked.

Three buttons can be used to adjust the volume, skip to the next song or accept a phone call. If you don’t have your hands free, there’s no problem: you can answer and end calls by nodding or shaking your head and activate the music control to skip to the next song.

LED lights for greater safety

Bright LED lights positioned on the side of the module behind the ear enhance safety by increasing user visibility.
Different lighting modes can be set in the Suunto application.

The earbuds fully charge in one hour and can be used for about 10 hours. A 10-minute intermediate charge offers up to three hours more battery life. The portable charging station with which the headphones are equipped can be used as a power bank on the go and extends the battery life up to 20 hours. The charge level is visible on the station.
