On this occasion, Moussa Macalou, who started from position 269 in the world ranking in the 1st round, managed to carry out one of the most acclaimed ippons of the day over his Swiss opponent, defeating his Saudi opponent who was in position 116 in the ranking in the 2nd round. , clearly prevailing over his French opponent in the 3rd round, managing to go on to compete in the Quarterfinals, which he failed to overcome by losing to the Italian who last year won the silver medal in this same competition, leaving him with no option for the podium by not passing the repechage round. Another huge step in his sporting progression is that Moussa has just been selected to compete in the European Under 23 Championship.

For his part, his teammate Sergio García, who has just returned to the competition after a long break due to injury, started in position 424 in the ranking, clearly winning in the first round over his Croatian and French opponents, falling in the 3rd round in a very tight fight. which ended up deciding only on shidos, without having the option of a repechage.

And the surprise on the part of the Binéfar Judo Club came from some brave Coulibaly and Arilla, who at only 17 years old and therefore still first-year Juniors, decided to start in this category of international competition, and Mama Coulibaly, stood up to her 23-year-old Polish opponent in the -78kg category who had been 5th in Sarajevo, in a very close fight, while Raúl Arilla in -81kg. He had a good fight that he lost due to a small tactical error, however, both seemed comfortable in this type of competition in which we will surely hear about them in the future.

Equally outstanding was the performance of Hector Cardil in the -60kg category, who clearly won his first two fights, leaving him without a chance for a medal by failing to pass the repechage round, while his partner Martina Aurin in the -57kg category reached the 3rd round but On this occasion she did not have the option of a repechage, on the other hand Yesenia Padilla, who continues in the recovery process, fell in the second round in the -57kg category. The Literary delegation was completed by Sofía Cafferata in -52kg and Daniela Teres in -48kg, who on this occasion were unlucky although they performed some magnificent fights.

On behalf of Club Atlético Sobrarbe, Emmanuel Fluerica attended the event in the -60kg category and had a good competition, although he was unlucky on this occasion, falling in the first round against his Portuguese opponent and being left without the option of a repechage.

The Club Ibón School brings a gold medal, two bronze medals and two fifth places from the Vigo Cadet Super Cup. The coach of the Club Ibón School Raúl Poblador traveled to said town with eight competitors, Omar Lemos, Pau Vigueras and Martín Polo from the -50kg category, Mario Jubero in -55kg, David Marí in -66kg, Javier Benedí and Jon García in -73kg and Angie Guerrero at -48kg.

For his part, Javier Benedí reached the semi-finals like his teammates, winning all his fights showing great superiority, with bad luck that in the semi-finals he hurt his shoulder and this action prevented him from going out to compete for the bronze being Fifth, let’s hope that he can recover soon to continue the national circuit, being this year one of the favorites in his weight category. Finally, we must highlight the great performance of David Marí, the representative of less than 66kg who had an impeccable competition, winning almost all the fights for the maximum score, a gold that made him rise to the top of the national ranking.
