The club released a statement saying that the Moroccan international had “credibly assured that, as a peace-loving person, he resolutely rejects terror and war.” The Central Council of Jews considered FC Bayern’s behavior to be “appropriate overall and in view of all possibilities, including the always clear stance of the club itself.” For now there was calm.
