London Fulham Renews Contract with Marku Silva Following Promising Start to the Season

London “Fulham” has started the new season with 11 points in nine games, occupying the 13th place in the overall standings – between “Wolverhampton Wanderers” and “Brentford”. On Monday night, one goal was conceded in each half as Tottenham Hotspur lost 2-0 away.

Marku Silva became the head coach of the team in July 2021 and his contract would have expired at the end of this season. In order to avoid the departure of the Portuguese, “Fulham” agreed on the continuation of cooperation until 2025/26. for the end of the season.

Last season, Fulham finished in tenth place, finishing in the top half of the Premier League for the first time since 2012. A year earlier, Silva led the team to victory in England’s second most powerful league. Of the previous ten seasons, the London club stayed in the second league of England in terms of strength for six, and in the Premier League for four.

Silva has considerable experience in coaching English clubs. He managed Hull City, Watford and Everton before joining Fulham.
