Neustadt an der Weinstrasse – Someone chose the wrong victim! On Friday evening, an unknown person wanted to rob a 59-year-old on the street. Stupid for the perpetrator that the man knows judo…
The stranger spoke to the 59-year-old shortly after half past five on Friday on Rathausstrasse in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. He demanded the man’s wallet. When the person being spoken to did not react immediately, the attacker tried to grab him by the neck.
The alleged victim knew judo – the attacker was on his face
His goal was probably to get the wallet by force. But the man from Neustadt surprised the perpetrator with his defense. With a skillful judo throw, he flattened the perpetrator, who then ran away limping.
The following day, the 59-year-old saw the perpetrator again on Rathausstrasse. The attacker is male and is estimated to be around 35 years old. He is around 1.80 meters tall, has a full beard and medium-length black hair. He wore a dark blue anorak both on this day and the previous day. He also wore gray sweatpants and sneakers.
Police are looking for witnesses to the incident
The 59-year-old remained uninjured. Witnesses with information about the suspect should contact the police on 06321/854-0. Alternatively, you can send an email to [email protected]. Attacks are not always so comparatively harmless. In the middle of Ludwigshafen, an 18-year-old was attacked and injured by a group with a knife on Friday. And in September, a man in the Palatinate was even beaten to death in broad daylight.
