PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Everything that Jalen Hurts could do with an injured left knee was throw for 319 yards and four touchdowns to lead another victory for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jalen Hurts He even didn’t have any interceptions for the first time in four games. To add to the list of his accomplishments, Hurts helped the Eagles came back after being down at halftime to beat the 38-31 Washington Commanders to have the team with a 7-1 record.

Hurts doesn’t want to admit how much his injured knee bothers him. He dismissed the seriousness of the injury — although it clearly made him hesitate to run — and remains focused on continuing to play and having the Eagles on top.
“I told them I really don’t want to talk about it anymore,” Hurts said.
He wants his numbers to speak for him.

His ability to play through pain is something the locker room admires, and the way he performed was a surprise when he was drafted in 2020. But Hurts has proven he’s more than just a running quarterback who can throw when needed. His throws have been precise and that helps him when his legs—which made him one of the most dynamic players in the game NFL— are too beat up to help him run.
Still, there are real concerns about his health and Hurts has the Eagles in a precarious situation before facing dallas, Kansas Cityyy San Francisco. If Hurts takes a hit or bends his knee wrong, Philadelphia I could be in serious trouble. Keeping Hurts healthy is just as important as winning.
