Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi continued his impression in the South Korean volleyball league by breaking into the top three players with the most points.
In the last match, against Gwangju AI Peppers Savings Bank, Megawati contributed 25 points for Daejeon Jung KwanJang Red Sparks. Megawati has now scored 138 points from six matches.
It wasn’t easy for the former Jakarta Pertamina player to get 25 points, because in the first set Megawati’s smashes went wide of the field of play several times. Apart from that, there was also Megawati’s spike attempt which was blocked by the opponent.

Even though she didn’t always succeed, Megawati still seemed optimistic by spreading a smile on the field. In the second and third sets Megawati’s game improved, although there were several attempts that failed to produce points.
The list of most productive players in the Korean volleyball league is dominated by IBK Altos player Brittany Abercrombie who collected 163 points in six matches.
Meanwhile, second place is occupied by Gyselle Silva from the GS Caltex KIXX team with 143 points or five points ahead of Megawati.
The fourth to sixth places are also filled with foreign players, namely Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani from the Gwangju AI Peppers team who is only three points behind Megawati.
Behind Yaasmeen is Vanja Bukilic from the Gimcheon Korea Expressway Hi Pass team with 130 points or only one point behind Yelena Mladenovic from the Incheon Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders team.
The Korean player with the most points in the V-League is Kim Yeon Kyung who collected 119 points from six matches or is ranked seventh in the top scorer list.
Megawati’s position in third place as the player who contributed the most points in the V-League is still vulnerable to being shifted because Bukilic will still play one final match of the first round.
Meanwhile, Megawati’s teammate, Giovanna Milana or who is often called Gia, is in ninth place on the top scorer list with 101 points.
