Tiburones Announce Alberto Díaz as General Manager Amidst Surprising Decision

At the conclusion of this Sunday’s game at the UCV park, where Tiburones beat Navegantes del Magallanes 8-2 and chained their third victory in a row, the owner of the ninth salty Wilmer Ruperti made important announcements.

Through a statement, published on their social networks, Alberto Díaz was announced as General Manager of the team, a position held by César Collins since the last contest.

“In order to contribute to the strengthening of the organizational structure of the Sharks, I have decided to incorporate Mr. Alberto Díaz as General Manager of the team… he is a broad expert in sports matters and I do not doubt that he will contribute his valuable knowledge to its comprehensive growth,” the letter states.

Likewise, it is said that both manager Edgardo Alfonzo and César Collins himself will remain in the organization, although the new position is not specified.

The announcement took fans, players and apparently even Collins himself by surprise, who through his social networks assured that he had not been informed of the decision previously.

“What I can say for now is that no one informed me that this decision was going to be made, and that right now I will be thinking about what to do in the next few hours,” the manager wrote.
