University of Utah Football Prepares for Senior Day Showdown Against Colorado Buffaloes

THE GAME

The University of Utah Football team is set to host the Colorado Buffaloes for its final regular season game on Saturday, Nov. 25 in Rice-Eccles Stadium. The game, which will be Utah’s Senior Day, will kickoff at 1 p.m. MT and will air on Pac-12 Networks. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 12:30 p.m. MT on Saturday for the pregame Senior Day ceremony.

HOME SWEET HOME

Utah is 117-37 (.759) in Rice-Eccles Stadium (1998-present) and is 89-26 in RES during the Kyle Whittingham era.
•     The Utes have five undefeated home seasons under Whittingham (2022, 6-0; 2021, 6-0; 2019, 7-0; 2009, 6-0; 2008, 6-0) with the Utes winning 30 of their last 32 home games, which included a streak of 18 in a row from Dec. 5, 2020-Oct. 28, 2023.
•     It was the second-longest streak in the Whittingham era with the longest streak taking place Sept. 15, 2007 to Oct. 23, 2010 (21 games).
•     Utah has sold out Rice-Eccles Stadium in 82 consecutive games, dating back to the 2010 season opener.

THE NUMBERS

•    Head Coach Kyle Whittingham is set to coach in his 366th overall game at Utah and his 240th as head coach on Saturday.
•    Utah leads the Pac-12 and is fourth in the FBS in time of possession (33:35).
•    The Utes lead the Pac-12 and rank sixth in the country in third down defense (.286).
•    Utah and Colorado are set to play for the 70th time in series history.

UTAH FOOTBALL: NEED TO KNOWS

•    Through 11 games, Utah ranks in the top-20 in the FBS in first and third down defense, rushing defense, team sacks and total defense.
•    Utah is only allowing 88.5 rushing yards per game, which ranks sixth nationally and second in the Pac-12.
•    In the last five games, Utah has been averaging 411.2 yards of total offense per game compared to the 362.6 per game overall.
