The 32-year-old naturalized Spanish power forward previously suffered an Achilles tendon injury in the summer of 2022 while still representing Barcelona. The basketball player born in Montenegro missed almost the entire off-season due to an injury, but returned to the court on December 1 last year.
In the offseason, Mirotic left the Spanish club and joined Olimpia Milan. As reported by the club from the Lombardy region, the striker has recovered from an Achilles tendon injury, however, its seriousness is currently unclear. Mirotic will undergo medical tests in the coming days.
In the Italian championship, Mirotic participated in six games, averaging 16.5 points and collecting 5.7 rebounds. He has 17.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 11 Euroleague games.
The Milan team led by Ettore Messina started the Euroleague season weakly – four wins in 11 games and 15th place among 18 clubs.
