MORELIA, Mich., December 9, 2023.- The date on which the Monumental Plaza de Toros México will be opened to bullfighting shows, called bullfights and bullfights, is approaching, because this is what the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation ordered ( STJN) last Wednesday, December 6, but there is still no date for the first event.
This was made known by Mario Zulaica, director of the Insurgentes Bullring, during the Monthly Assembly of Mexican Bullfighting, in which Quadratín was present.
Mario Zulaica was clear and forceful during his presentation, because he is interested in ensuring that the bullfighting fans do not fall prey to deceptions and falsehoods: “false information circulates on networks that seek to confuse the fans. That is why we want it to be known that we do not yet have a date for the reopening event, because there are some legal procedures that must be followed and that takes time.”
In front of bullfighters such as Manolo Mejía, Marbella Romero, Juan Luis Silis, Ernesto Javier Calita, Juan Pablo Sánchez, Lupita López and Isaac Fonseca, as well as businessmen, ranchers and representatives of the media, Mario Zulaica specified that “when we have a date we will let you know.” We will make it known in due course. “We should not pay attention to what is circulating on the networks, such as an alleged poster for February 5.”
