Last Friday, December 15, the XVI Berja Sports Gala in the Theater that featured the pilates, tai-chi, judo, taekwondo groups, the elderly physical activity program, the Health Center and sports in the neighborhoods, artistic swimming and rhythmic gymnastics.
One of the most anticipated moments were the Berja Sports awards that this year were awarded to José Antonio López Gallardo in the category of merit for sporting improvement; Club Baloncesto Berja received the award for sports-related club and Beatriz Prieto López received the award for coach of the year.
On the other hand, Carmen Sevilla López has received the merit award for sporting perseverance and Inmaculada Soto Ruíz and Esther Granero Luna have been recognized as athletes of the year.
Ioana Sofía Espinosa Stanculescu has also received the award as athlete of the year and José Pedro Fernández Arévalo has received special recognition from the Berja Sports area.
