Judge Bosch clarifies why it is “difficult” for justice to consider the beating of Sánchez’s doll in Ferraz as a hate crime

In ‘Everything is a lie’ we spoke with magistrate Joaquim Boschto explain if the beating of the Pedro Sánchez doll at the PSOE headquarters, on Ferraz Street in Madrid, may be considered a hate crime.

“Hay a lot of confusion in Spain What is a hate crime? Hating in Spain is not a crime. The behavior that is punished is a public incitement to violence, hostility or discrimination against individuals or groups for racist, xenophobic reasons, sexual orientation or disability, among others,” explains the magistrate in ‘Everything is a lie’.

Joaquim Bosch clarifies that hate crime is a protection measure aimed at vulnerable groupshistorically discriminated against, and clarifies that “The jurisprudence has indicated that not even political parties enter there.“, neither the head of state, nor state officials.”
