Success at the Württemberg Judo Association Dan Exams: Friedrichshafen Judoka Earn Second Dan Black Belts

The Dan exams (Dan = Black Belt) of the Württemberg Judo Association took place on December 3rd. Two judoka from Friedrichshafen, Claudia Henzler and Andreas Lieber, were also represented among the eleven test leagues. Both successfully passed the second dan exam.

They demonstrated over 20 different throwing techniques and application tasks, as well as over 45 techniques on the ground from the groups of holding, levering and choking. Since the Dan graduations are the master degrees, all techniques from the previous graduations must of course also be mastered.

Since not only practical exercises are required according to the judo principle “Sei-Ryoku-Zen-Yo” (best use of mind and body), there is also a small theoretical part.

In the end, the examiners praised the top performance and excellent understanding of judo of all examinees, which is why the exam could be completed successfully in “only” 5 hours.

The JJV Friedrichshafen warmly congratulates on this outstanding achievement.

For everyone interested in judo, a beginners course takes place every Monday and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. in the Bodensee sports hall. All children and students aged six and over are welcome.
