Sporting Kansas City moved its April 13 MLS home game against Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami to Arrowhead Stadium instead of its Children’s Mercy Park home.
The club made the announcement on Monday.
Arrowhead in Missouri has a capacity of approximately 76,000 fans. It is the home of the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs, and is the oldest stadium of the 11 United States venues for the 2026 World Cup.
Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas, home of the club since 2011, has a capacity of almost 18,000. The Kansas City Wizards, the former name of Sporting KC, played at Arrowhead from 1996 to 2007 and used the coliseum for a friendly match against Manchester United in 2010 that drew 52,424 fans.
Tickets for the match against Inter Miami will go on sale on January 16, and the cheapest ones are $65, as reported by Sporting KC.
