MORELIA, Mich., January 12, 2024.- As part of the annual activity report corresponding to its first year of work (2023), the Michoacán Association of Sports Coaches (Amded), headed by Hugo Barojas Reyes, announced the management that he carried out before the Ministry of Finance of the Government of Michoacán, together with the Budget Commission of the Congress of Michoacán, for the budget expansion by the amount of 5 million pesos.
The above was reported by Hugo Barojas himself, who recalled that the budget of the 10 million pesos allocated for the Sports Scholarship and Incentives Program is not available in Cecufid, since the last administration, based on the annual budget. 2018.
“Among various sports results from the athletes of our affiliated coaches, in the first year of work we also celebrated the First National and International Congress in Physical Culture, Sports and Recreation, where we had the participation of 95 congressmen and 20 speakers from great trajectory, at the end of November. Also, we had a very positive talk with Luis Navarro (Secretary of Finance) and with Deputy Marco Polo Aguirre,” explained Barojas Reyes.
However, such an increase did not appear in the agency’s annual budget, but it cannot be ruled out that it could be authorized by the corresponding authorities in the second half of 2024.
At the moment, Amded, in its first anniversary, has 250 associated coaches in a total of 14 disciplines, among which athletics, basketball, boxing, canoeing, judo, karate, triathlon, swimming, among others.
