Toronto Raptors Trade Pascal Siakam to Indiana Pacers in Multi-Team Deal

The Toronto Raptors have traded star player Pascal Siakam to the Indiana Pacers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski d’ESPN.

In return, Toronto gets its hands on Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora, two first-round picks in 2024 and a first-round pick in 2026.

Also involved in the deal, the New Orleans Pelicans sent Kira Lewis to the Raptors as well as a 2024 second-round pick to the Pacers.

Wojnarowski said Siakam is excited by the news and is ready to negotiate a new contract with Indiana. The 29-year-old Cameroonian is an upcoming free agent next July.

Reporter Shams Charania from The Athletic had reported the news on Tuesday that the Raptors and Pacers were in talks and that the Kings were also interested in Siakam’s services.

Aged 29, Siakam is averaging 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 39 games this season. He has played his entire career with the Raptors since entering the NBA in 2016.

Toronto sits 12th in the East with a 15-25 record. The team has already traded OG Anunoby to the New York Knicks.

For their part, the Pacers, who include Quebecer Bennedict Mathurin in their ranks, come in sixth place with a record of 23 wins and 17 losses.
