ORLANDO, Florida, USA (AP) — Joel Embiid had 36 points, Tyrese Maxey finished with 32 and the Philadelphia 76ers won for the fourth time, beating the Orlando Magic 124-109 on Friday.
It was the 19th straight game in which Joel Embiid, the NBA’s leading scorer, scored at least 30 points, a franchise record. Embiid did not play the fourth quarter.
Maxey, who also added five assists, has scored at least 20 points in 11 consecutive games.
Wendell Carter Jr. finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds for the Magic. Jalen Suggs added 16 points and Paolo Banchero added 14 with eight rebounds and six assists.
The 76ers won for the ninth consecutive time on the road with Embiid in the lineup. Without him they are 2-6 playing as visitors.
Embiid and Maxey were responsible for the 11-0 run that lifted the 76ers to a 62-52 lead at the close of the first half.
Maxey and Kelly Oubre Jr. made 3-pointers that helped Philadelphia stretch a 12-point lead to as many as 22 entering the fourth quarter.
