Bruce Brown: Eager to Play Under Tom Thibodeau for the Knicks

Taking advantage of the Raptors’ view at Madison Square Garden where they fell by a wide 100-126, Bruce Brown did not hide his desire to play under Tom Thibodeau.

Brown, recently traded in the Pascal Siakam deal, already held negotiations this summer with the Knicks by express order of Thibs himself. It’s a pity that they could only offer him the average salary exception, that is, around 12.5 million per year. This one opting for the great offer from Indiana Pacers of 45 million and 2 seasons.

“I’m a dog. I play very hard at both ends of the court. “I can do anything (Thibodeau) needs,” he declared to the NY Post.

The Knicks are looking for reinforcements for the second half of the season after the departures of Barrett and Quickley, and the aforementioned Brown is a very popular profile, although other candidates have also been mentioned, such as Malcolm Brogdon, Jordan Clarkson and the possible return of Alec Burks.

«Very hard game. “I think I’m that type of player that he likes a lot,” he admitted.

And Brown, with so much praise for Thibodeau, has said on more than one occasion that he is a big fan of the Knicks coach, and that in 2018, when he held the positions of President and Coach of the T-Wolves, he was very close to selecting him in that Draft.

«Every time I play against Thibs, I go up and shake his hand. Just because of what he’s done. Nothing but respect for his work,” he stressed.

Before his trade, he was averaging 12.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3 assists per day, shooting 47% from the field and 33% from three-point range.

Leon Rose loves him. Thibodeau loves him. What else is needed? That the Raptors agree to the negotiations, although they maintain a good relationship, as we have seen in recent movements.

«I really just try to control what I can control. “I can’t do anything if they trade me again or not,” she said about the latest rumors.
