Less than 200 days before the Paris 2024 Games (D – 185), the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has unveiled the qualification route for the Olympic 3×3 basketball tournament. It will begin with a first tournament in Hong Kong, from April 12 to 14. At stake is a place for Paris 2024. The second stage, where a place for the Olympic competition will also be decided, is scheduled for May 3 to 5 in Utsunomiya, Japan. Finally, a third and final TQO will take place in Debrecen, Hungary, between May 16 and 19. It will determine the last three qualified countries, for both men and women. A total of 64 teams will participate in the 3×3 Olympic qualifying tournaments. The first three tickets for Paris 2024 will be awarded according to the FIBA world rankings.
