According to the report, Bayern offered between 15 and 16 million euros for the English right-back, but Newcastle rejected the Munich team’s offer on Tuesday evening.
Bild had previously reported that both clubs had achieved a breakthrough in the negotiations. A final decision should have been made on Tuesday, but nothing will come of it for the time being.
A loan deal proposed by the Munich team was rejected by the Premier League club in order to work on their own transfer balance with a fixed sale for reasons of financial fair play.
Trippier has been at Newcastle for two years
Trippier comes from Manchester City’s youth ranks, but made his breakthrough at Burnley FC. From 2015 he played for Tottenham for four years, who sold him to Atlético Madrid in 2019 for 22 million euros. At the beginning of 2022 he returned to Newcastle United in England.
Trippier has seven assists in 19 Premier League games this season. He has made 46 international appearances for England since his debut in June 2017.
