The Women’s Volta will have 20 teams, seven of them World Teams

The first edition of the women’s event of the Volta a Catalunya as a stage race, which will be held between June 7 and 9, will feature 20 teams, including seven World Teams, the highest category.

As indicated by the organization of the UCI 2.1 international event, the UCI Women’s World Teams will include the Spanish Movistar Team, which has in its ranks the winner of the last reVolta, the British Claire Steels, the Belgian AG Insurance-Soudal Team, where one of the most prominent Catalan cyclists of today, Mireia Benito, the French FDJ-Suez, the German Ceratizit-WNT Pro Cycling Team, the American HumanPowered Health, the Swiss Roland and the Norwegian UNO-X Mobility.

In addition, there will also be 10 UCI Women’s Continental Teams, including the Spanish Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi and the Eneicat-CM Team, while the French Cofidis and the Primeau Vélo-Groupe Abadie and the German Canyon SRAM Generation have registered. The list is completed by the American Cynisca Cycling, the French Arkea-B&B Hotels Women, the Australian ARA Skip Capital, the Italian Aromitalia 3T Vaiano and the Emirati UAE Development Team. For its part, participation will be completed with the presence of national teams such as Massi Baix Ter, Farto-BTC and the Catalan team.
