The Archers de Sillé club was at the regional youth archery championship this Sunday, February 4.
If originally, they were to join the Vendée with three archers, after two withdrawals including that of Ladislas Denis, due to injury, only Enzo Deshaies (U21 category in compound bow) left, accompanied by three supervisors and club coach Nathalie Bécu, Laurent Carlin and Dominique Cochet.
Three points difference
After leaving at 4 a.m. to be there before the opening of the registry, Enzo Deshaies competed against his comrade Angel from the Aizenay club, a fight of archers certainly, but above all of friendship and respect, filled humanity, supervisors, coaches and parents enjoyed seeing them shoot, the suspense was guaranteed until the end, the two being a perfect tie, underlines the coach of the Sillean club.
Over the last three ends, the Silléen made the difference: winning by three points, he won the title of regional champion in compound arch in the U21 category. Remember that last year, he won the outdoor vice-champion title.
The two friends will meet at the regional outdoor competition for the last time in their category, because Angel will be senior 1 next season but in another region, near Nîmes; perhaps they will meet again at the French championship, since that is Enzo Deshaies’ objective.”
Senior regional competition on February 17 and 18
Last indoor competition of the season, before the resumption of outdoor competition: the weekend of February 17 and 18 at the Changé club in Mayenne for the regional adult competition.
