2024 European Indoor Archery Championships Set to Begin in Varazdin

From tomorrow, Tuesday 20 February to Sunday 25 February, the 2024 European Indoor Archery Championships, the first major event of the international season with medals up for grabs, in a year that will culminate with the Paris Olympics. The continental event will take place in Varazdin (Croatia) and will see three divisions involved: Olympic, compound and bare arch.

The competition returns after last year’s event in Samsun was canceled due to the terrible earthquake that shook the central part of Turkey. The last edition held is therefore that of 2021 in Lasko (Slovenia) with Italy reaching the podium 12 times, taking second place in the overall medal table.

There are 32 players called up from Italy for this event, including senior and youth categories. The spotlight is obviously on the recurve at a distance of 18 metres, where we will see it in action Mauro Nespoli, Alessandro Paoli, Matteo Borsani male and the tried and tested female trio composed of Tatiana Andreoli, Chiara Rebagliati and Lucilla Boari.
