Kadokawa has announced the artists of the theme songs for the television anime adaptation of the baseball manga Oblivion Battery (Bōkyaku Battery) by Eko Mikawa. Rock band Mrs. Green Apple will perform the opening theme “Lilac,” while rock band Macaroni Enpitsu will perform the ending theme “Wasurena Uta.”
The baseball manga follows Haruka, a strong pitcher praised as perfect, and Kei, a skilled catcher known as the “General” who has lost his memory due to amnesia. The talented duo were difficult to defeat in middle school and destroyed the dreams of other players. They both enroll at the unknown Kotesashi High School in Tokyo, where they meet other baseball players who dropped out after losing to Haruka and Kei.
The anime will premiere on TV Tokyo and other channels in April.

Michiko Yokote (The Dreaming Boy Is a Realist, Handa-kun) is responsible for series composition, Takeshi Iida (Animation Director of Flip Flappers, Triage X) is the assistant director, and Hitomi Hasegawa (Dance Dance Danseur) draws characters.

Bōkyaku Battery was launched on the Shonen Jump+ website in April 2018. Shūeisha released the 17th volume of the manga on January 4.
