The Popov brothers, the best French badminton players, are competing for the only French place at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

A fratricidal duel. Doubles partners, the Popov brothers are in the fight to win the only French qualifying ticket for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in singles. The youngest, Christo Popov (22 years old, 23rd player in the world), has a very short lead over his elder, Toma Junior Popov (25 years old, 25th player in the world), before the last tournaments which will decide the identity of the unique tricolor representative.

The two brothers share the same coach: their father, Toma Popov, former professional player and ex-coach of the Bulgarian team. They can both still hope to be present at the Olympic Games, if they manage to qualify for the doubles tournament. To do this, it will be necessary to move up in the world rankings ahead of another French pair, made up of Lucas Corvée and Ronan Labar.
