Amiens Basket Ball Metropolis: Promoting Education and Inclusion Through Basketball

The Amiens Basket Ball Metropolis (MABB), recognized as a Citizen Club by the French Basketball Federation, has strengthened its presence on the sporting and social scenes by organizing a Generation Basketball Center during the winter holidays.

This project, carried out in partnership with the city of Amiens, the French Basketball Federation, GRDF and Kinderoffers a week of free basketball for young people, positioning Amiens as the national leader with an average of 150 participants per day.

Supported by the Amiens Métropole City Contractthis program welcomes young people aged 7 to 25 in the Émile Moiroud Gymnasium. It encourages both beginners and experienced players to develop their basketball skills in a professional setting. inclusive and educational. The event was a great success, particularly attracting 16-25 ans and thus demonstrating its appeal and beneficial impact on young people for the second time this year.

The MABB, pursuing its objectives education and inclusion through sportlinked its “school basketball operations” action to the system educational city of Étouvie, in order to integrate both an educational and social dimension. To make this approach a reality, she invited students from Léon Lamotte school to participate in this exceptional week.

The week ended with a 3×3 basketball tournament, approved by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), highlighting the MABB’s commitment to creating strong social bonds through basketball, particularly in priority districts of Amiens, thanks to its 3×3 basketball league.
