Asked about his passion for skiing during his press conference after his complicated victory against Tallon Griekspoor in the third round of the Masters 1000 in Miami, Jannik Sinner, who continues to ski from time to time with his friends, admitted that he no longer took any risks in order to avoid a fall which could be compromising for his career.
“Going skiing always relieves me. Especially because I remember images from when I was little and I was skiing with my friends. It’s so nice to remember these moments. In fact, between us (Jannik and his friends), we organize ourselves so that we ski together at least twice a year. These are personal moments that are good to experience to recover mentally. But you have to be careful. You go fast on the slopes and there is a moment when you fall. If this were to happen to me and I broke something, it would be a huge problem. Fortunately, I am much calmer on skis today than when I was a child. I’m not the kid I used to be anymore. »
