Philadelphia in full fight for the play-ins, LBJ’s franchise and Denver also did well, returning first to the West.

Fourth consecutive victory for the Philadelphia 76ers, who won 116-96 on the road over the Memphis Grizzlies in one of the games played last night in the NBA.

Sixers star Joel Embiid scored 30 points to show he has recovered from the injury that kept him out for about two months.

His team is eighth in the Eastern Conference and thanks to his contribution is counting on gaining a place in the play-ins at the end of the regular season, scheduled for April 14th.

In other games, the Los Angeles Lakers achieved their fourth consecutive victory by beating the Cleveland Cavaliers, third place in the East, 116-97.

Point guard D’Angelo Russell was the team’s best scorer with 28 points while LeBron James scored 24 and Anthony Davis 22 with 13 rebounds.

The Lakers have won nine of their last ten games, are eighth in the Western Conference standings (45 wins and 33 losses), just behind New Orleans (45-32) and Phoenix (46-31).

The Denver Nuggets returned to the top of the West by defeating the Atlanta Hawks 142-110.

Nikola Jokic recorded his 25th triple-double of the season with 19 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists.

The Nuggets lead the table (54-24) with a slight advantage over Minnesota (53-24), while Oklahoma City is third with a record (52-25).

The Brooklyn Nets overturned a 19-point deficit in the second quarter to deny the Detroit Pistons what would have been only their 14th win of the season.
