Basketball star player Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks was obviously lucky when he was injured in the season game against title favorites Boston Celtics. The left Achilles tendon, which was initially feared to have major damage, is therefore intact, as ESPN and “The Athletic” unanimously reported after initial investigations.
Antetokounmpo had to leave the field early in the home win (104:91). Coach Doc Rivers said with a view to the upcoming playoffs: “It’s Giannis. “Everyone would be worried.” The 29-year-old Greek’s downtime will now depend on the severity of his calf injury.
Antetokounmpo is the Bucks’ key player and wants to lead the club to another championship after 2021. Milwaukee is one of the title contenders alongside the Boston Celtics and defending champion Denver Nuggets. The playoffs begin on April 20th.
