Four Young Judokas Shine at U13 District Individual Championship in Aachen

We started with four children at the U13 district individual championship in Aachen. All four had their first championship in the new age group and qualified directly for the district individual championship.

This weekend was victorious Fynn Kretschmer (-37kg). It was also possible in the same weight class Alexander Wood over the scales.
Fynn showed clear and quick victories in each of his fights up to the final with different techniques and evaluations on the stand. He was also very superior on the ground. Alexander also showed a strong fight after a lucky bye. He acted tactically on throwing approaches and thus showed a good grip fight. The fight went to him with a judge’s decision.
Both fought their way to the final, where, as so often, both training partners met each other. Decided here Fynn won the fight and became district champion. As a result, Alex became runner-up district champion. Great performance from you!
Also Vice district champion was Ronja Rosenthal (-52kg). After two lost but good fights, she secured second place. One fight ended very closely with the judges deciding in favor of the opponent.
The last of the bunch was Felix Carbin (-31kg). He took a win with two Wazaari scores in his three fights and also showed a satisfactory performance in his other encounters. He placed himself with the 3. Platz.
Four great results with qualification. We are looking forward to the district championship.
