AHTA Archery Delegation Gears Up for Conade National Games 2024 in Jalisco

The AHTA Archery indicated that it has good expectations about the discipline’s delegation, which will attend Jalisco at the end of the month, for its participation in the Conade National Games (JNC) 2024.

The organization’s director, Oldair Zamora Nava, indicated that the contingent increased slightly compared to last year, highlighting the mixed team representative, made up of Diego Ocampo, Ivanna Palacios and Hanna Plata.

“We are going with nine archers; I think it’s one more than the previous year. Unfortunately we only have a mixed team; That is very strong, with two former World Cup players,” he expressed.

At an individual level, he mentioned that there is a representative of minor divisions, who is above her records, as well as the incorporation of a shooter from Puebla, who will compete in the JNC for Hidalgo, also accompanied by his coach.

“A childish girl left us a very good surprise, who is scoring 110 points above her mark; “She is leaving us with a good taste,” she added.

However, he also acknowledged that there were some exponents who were left out, among them, a shooter who stood on the podium last year.

“We fell short; Three strong young men missed the minimum mark. One of them was José Omar, who was a medalist in the last edition (…) Maybe they were due to extra-sports situations,” he explained.

Finally, he indicated that the AHTA Archery delegation will leave on May 26 for the Pearl of the West, where they will compete at the end of the month and beginning of June.
