Euro 2024: the official list of the France team and the Blues numbers for the competition

The coach of the France team sent his final list for the Euro this Friday to UEFA. Unsurprisingly, Didier Deschamps did not make any changes to the selection announced on May 16 on the 8 p.m. set on TF1.

The returning N’Golo Kanté (33 years old, 54 caps) will be present in Germany, as will Bradley Barcola (21 years old, 1 cap) for his first competition with the Blues.

No surprises either regarding the numbers assigned to the players. As announced on our site at the end of May, N’Golo Kanté is indeed recovering his number 13 already worn on Wednesday evening during the friendly match against Luxembourg (3-0). Absent from France team gatherings since June 2022, the midfielder returns to the number he wore during the 2018 World Cup, won by the Blues in Russia.

Ibrahima Konaté, who inherited the number 13 during the last gathering of the France team, must therefore opt for a new number. The Liverpool central defender will wear number 24.

Kylian Mbappé keeps number 10 which he should also wear in a year at Real Madrid. This is currently on the shoulders of Luka Modric, who recently extended his contract for a season with the Merengues. We will therefore have to wait until 2025 to see the captain of the Blues wear the same number in the selection as in the club.

Newly called up, Bradley Barcola opted for 25. Warren Zaire-Emery, his teammate at PSG, chose 18 as his age. For the rest, nothing new: Griezmann keeps number 7 and Olivier Giroud, for his last international competition, number 9.
