Over 10,000 sports enthusiasts participate in a friendly match
Changwon Special City, Gyeongsangnam-do held the ‘2024 Changwon Special City Citizen Harmony One Mind Lifestyle Sports Grand Festival’, a major festival for recreational sportspersons, at the Changwon Gymnasium with the attendance of about 2,200 sports enthusiasts.

Hosted by the Changwon City Sports Council, organized by member sports groups, and sponsored by Changwon Special City, this competition was designed to promote citizen health and harmony through daily sports. More than 10,000 fans of 39 sports, including tennis, volleyball, and badminton, participated and showed off their skills at stadiums for each sport, including the Changwon Gymnasium, over two days on the 15th and 16th.
Changwon Special City Citizens’ Harmony One Mind Sports Festival was successfully held.
As a pre-ceremony event for the opening ceremony held on the 15th, performances by the MK dance team and trot singers were held to celebrate the grand festival of sports for all people, and the official event was held in that order, including commendation for those who have contributed to the development of sports, congratulatory remarks from guests, athlete representative oaths, and performances. It was welcomed by sports enthusiasts and citizens.
Changwon Special Mayor Hong Nam-pyo encouraged the club members in attendance and said, “I hope this will be a time to strengthen harmony and friendship while demonstrating the skills we have honed to the fullest.” He added, “To make Changwon a healthy city where life is leisurely, we will expand sports infrastructure and provide various programs to provide recreational sports. “We will do our best to further increase the heat,” he said.
