The Olympic tennis tournament will be played in the same Roland Garros facilities, on land, where the Spanish Carlos Alcarazrecently crowned in Paris, will once again be another of the great favorites for Olympic gold.
The Serbian, 37 years old and holder of the record for titles of Grand Slam (24), suffered an injury to the medial meniscus in his right knee on June 3. Using anti-inflammatories, these physical discomforts did not prevent him from winning a marathon of more than four hours against the Argentine that day. Francisco Cerúndolobut was then forced to forfeit the quarterfinal match against Norwegian Casper Ruud.
