Selected for the French team for the European Cadet Championships, Léonie Minkada-Caquineau will return from Sofia with two more medals in her collection. The Niortaise won silver on Saturday, June 29, in the individual +70 kg event. This Sunday, she added the gold she won at the end of the mixed team competition.
Four wins by ippon
The resident of the Dojos de l’Agglomération Niortaise 79 (DAN 79) participated in the four meetings of the French team, winning her fight each time by ippon. She thus played a significant role in the European title won by the young French people, at the conclusion of this competition which started on Thursday, and in which Niortais Axel Cuq also took part.
