Korea Savings Bank creates donation forest at Haeundae Arboretum

(Busan = Yonhap News) Reporter Jo Jung-ho = Busan City announced on the 1st that it has created a donation forest at Haeundae Arboretum with trees worth 30 million won donated by Korea Savings Bank.
The city created a 600㎡ donation forest using trees worth 30 million won donated by Korea Savings Bank as a social contribution project in the second phase of Haeundae Arboretum’s green zone.
The city presented a ‘Greenhouse Gas Reduction Contribution Certification Appreciation Plaque’ to Korea Savings Bank, which donated the tree.

Haeundae Arboretum, with a total area of 628,275㎡, completed construction on the first stage in an area of 414,864㎡ in 2017 and opened temporarily from May 2021.
Currently, sports facilities including a soccer field, futsal field, gateball court, foot volleyball court, tennis court, badminton court, and basketball court are being built on a 213,411㎡ site in the second phase.
Starting in 2021, Haeundae Arboretum will host various donation forests, including the Forest of Life and Meeting Square, created by the Korea Local Finance Mutual Aid Association, Korea Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation, Mirae Asset, Korea Forestry Cooperatives Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters, Lions Clubs International, Korea Environmental Foundation, and Panacea.
