The management of AC Sparta Prague has entered into a partnership with sports stations of the Nova group. Nova Sport 1 and 2 paid programs will broadcast live broadcasts of home matches in the preliminary rounds of UEFA competitions.
During the summer holidays, Sparta will play three home matches in the preliminary rounds of UEFA competitions, the first match will take place on July 30 (rematch of the 2nd preliminary round of the Champions League). “We are very much looking forward to broadcasting the new format of the Champions League and we want to support the Czech colors right from the qualification stage. That’s why we made an agreement with the league champion and we’re keeping our fingers crossed. We will also strive to obtain the rights from away matches,” added Dušan Mendel, head of sports at Nova.
“I am convinced that we have prepared a functional business model that is beneficial for both parties. And as a result, also for the Spartan television viewers,” said AC Sparta Praha CEO Tomáš Křivda.
Fans can also find both sports channels on Voyo. Nova Sport also broadcasts the main phase of the Champions League, including the playoffs. Also Bundesliga, LaLiga, Ligue 1, FA Cup and other prestigious football competitions. New from the coming season is Thursday’s first choice of a European or UEFA Conference League match.
