Young Judokas from Cipolletti Municipal School Attend Training Camp with Argentine Judo Team

Yesterday, 11 judokas from the Cipolletti Municipal School traveled to Punilla, Córdoba, to participate in a training camp that will be held for the children’s category.

The event will take place from Thursday 18 to Monday 22 July and is organized by the Argentine Judo Team and will feature the presence of Paula Pareto.

The delegation is composed of Felipe Cares, Jeronimo Fernandez, Antonia Seisdedos, Alma Barra, Benjamin Brito, Nicolas Maldonado, Sharon Duran, Thalia Cerda, Valentino Freire, Mila Celecinco, Mateo Ramires. They are accompanied by Sensei Paola Montelpare and Joaquin Fernandez.

“All the “A” children aged 11 to 14 are selected. It is the first category at the national level, and children who have a good ranking, first or second, representing the country will participate. In these camps they train twice a day, they test the level that exists in the country to get them into the formal competition.”

“This is the first approach to the Argentine judo team for what could be a future participation in South American and Pan American competitions,” said Paola Montelpare.

He added: “Paula Pareto will provide much of the training to the judokas, a great Olympic figure. Today Cipolletti has the largest school in the Alto Valle and we are the only ones representing Río Negro.”
