It will in fact be split into two late evening appointments, on Saturday and Monday, always on Rai 2. The 2024-25 football season, now upon us (the A league (which will start in a month) will also mark the new placement in the schedule.
A real Revolution for broadcast on Rai networks from September 27, 1970which over the years has become a fixed appointment Sunday afternoon for millions of Italian sports fans. Due to the format of the Serie A championship, with matches “spread out” from Friday to Monday – and for which Rai has acquired the rights to broadcast, in clear, the highlights – the management of RaiSport has in fact launched two new broadcasts, “90th Minute Saturday” e “90th Minute Monday“, led the first by Paola Ferrari and the second from Mark Mazzocchidedicated specifically to commenting on league matches.
It remains, in its classic time slot, 10.45pm, Sports Sunday – the longest-running show on Italian television, born in 1953 – con Simona Rolandi confirmed in the conduction and the first free to air images of the Sunday postponement, while Sunday afternoon will be the prerogative of RaiSport Livea live container which will, from time to time, feature all the other sports in the Rai range, from volleyball to basketball, from rugby to gymnastics, from cycling to winter sports.
