The Argentine U23 delegation is ready to start competing this Monday, the 22nd, in its first international tournament of the year, which will take place in Mexico. The activity will continue until the 28th of this month.

For both teams, there will be six days in which the teams will be divided into two zones of two (2) and will compete in the all-against-all mode. The winners of the zones will access the finals.

“We had three days of training before the competition, playing a lot to get into the rhythm of the game that the discipline requires and looking at the last details. Thinking about the tournament, the objectives are to finish first in the general table and get the most points for the ranking,” said Delfina Gentinetta.

It is worth remembering that six different tournaments will be held, one per day of competition, and will provide important points for the ranking of the U23 category.
“It is a very tiring tournament, as is the discipline itself. That is why six players are going, to rotate and see how each one feels. We have to emphasize rest and recovery,” added the Obras player.

The teams that will participate in the tournament are Argentina, Chile, Puerto Rico, the United States, the Cayman Islands and Mexico.
“One of the team’s strengths is that we already know each other from various training camps and some of us have played in tournaments together. Most of us already play 3v3 and we know what pace to set,” he claimed.

And continued: “The idea of ​​the game is to be very explosive, intense, to give speed and rhythm to the game and for each of us to make decisions, just as the sport demands,” concluded Gentinetta.

The men’s team will take to the field first to face the Cayman Islands at 14:15 (local time) and Chile (17:55). Meanwhile, the women’s team will face the Cayman Islands first (15:40) and then Chile at 17:30.
