Former Lion Stefan Aigner has a new position at FC Augsburg. The Munich native is now Assistant coach of the second team in the Regionalliga BayernMost recently, Aigner was employed by the U19 team of the Fuggerstadt team.
Aigner had his best season with the Lions in the 2009/10 season, when he was named “Lion of the Season.” Aigner made 129 appearances for the first team of TSV 1860 Munich, scoring 29 goals and providing 24 assists.

On August 2nd (7pm), the team of coach Argirios Giannikis will start the third division season against Saarbrücken. Before that, however, two higher-class test match opponents await the Lions. At the not very fan-friendly kick-off time of 2pm, Sechzig will face this Wednesday in Karlsruhe against Giannikis’ former club, the KSC.

TSV 1860 visits Karlsruher SC – Giannikis meets his former club
After the duel against the fifth-placed team from the last second division season, the Löwen coach will know how far his newly formed team has come. The dress rehearsal for the start of the league will take place on Saturday away at 1. FC Kaiserslautern (1:30 p.m.). As usual, both test matches will be broadcast on Löwen-TV for a fee.
Giannikis did not take the KSC test into account when starting the penultimate week of preparation. After an extensive sprint session, the coach was dissatisfied with the intensity of the subsequent game: “I saw that you can sprint. The Lions’ Panini album has sent fans into ecstasy. “Sorry, everything is sold out,” is what is being said at various sales outlets. The good news is that it is already being reprinted. 1860 fan Stefan Markt no longer has to worry about that. He already has a full album. 24 hours after the presentation in the Bamboleo, he has already sent his video of proof to the initiators. As a reward, he will receive a limited green and gold anniversary jersey from the football department.

Timo Spennesberger has found a new club. The former young lion (2019 to 2022 at TSV 1860 II in the Bayernliga) is moving to the Regionalliga West after two seasons at TSV Landsberg. The 26-year-old is joining SC Wiedenbrück. Next weekend could be the first highlight at the midfielder’s new place of work. “It would be nice if I could be in the squad against Schalke. Munich – TSV 1860 continues to prepare for the start of the season against 1. FC Saarbrücken. Unsurprisingly, the game against the Saarlanders is sold out. The last chance to get tickets is only available on the secondary market. Lions members can buy tickets through this. Today, Monday, all Lions have the day off – except for Marco Hiller, Jesper Verlaat and Patrick Hobsch.

The trio is currently in Frankfurt for the DFB Media Days. Every year before the start of the new 3rd league season, the DFB organizes the Media Days. There, media representatives and partners of the 3rd league prepare photo and film contributions for the upcoming season. Jesper Verlaat does not only present the Lions in front of the camera: The Defence chief kept his fingers crossed for the young lions in Grünwald in the Bavarian League on Saturday.
After the fan festival, the Lions have two test matches scheduled for this week. On July 24, TSV 1860 will play at Karlsruher SC. On July 27, the dress rehearsal against 1. FC Kaiserslautern is scheduled. The last tests for the Lions squad and also the last chance for the ten new signings to get into the spotlight. The Lions squad seems to be set. No further transfers are currently planned.
