Anderlecht released a mysterious video on social media on Thursday in which it seemed to want to announce something. What exactly the intention was, was not immediately clear. A day later, the club comes with more news. The video announced the new slogan ‘Noblesse Oblige’.
Many question marks among Anderlecht fans when purple-white posted a video online on Thursday. The video showed a lot, but also very little. Some fans hoped that the video announced a new player, others thought that the third shirt was coming.
Everyone was disappointed. A day later, the social media team posted a sequel to the video in which it was clear that Anderlecht is coming out with a new slogan: ‘Noblesse Oblige’, created by Mario Stroeykens and Pär Zetterberg, among others.
Many fans are disappointed with the announcement. Some find it an embarrassing display, others had hoped that the video would announce a player like Dennis Praet. The reactions on media platform X are therefore not kind.
