Spain’s Carolina Marín qualified for the quarter-finals of the Paris Olympics badminton event after beating American Beiwen Zhang 2-1 in 68 minutes.
The Spaniard lost the first set, but made a decisive comeback to win 12-21, 21-9 and 21-18. The Olympic champion from Rio 2016 is already waiting for her opponent in the quarter-finals: she will face the winner of the duel between Singaporean Yeo and Japanese Ohori on Saturday.
