Archery: Barbelin and Addis lined up for the mixed event

French archers Lisa Barbelin and Baptiste Addis, both qualified for the round of 16 in the individual events, will compete in the mixed event at the Olympic Games on Friday, on the Esplanade des Invalides in Paris, the French team announced on Thursday.

Lisa Barbelin is the leader of French women’s archery, she took part in the mixed event at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 with Jean-Charles Valladont and was eliminated in the quarter-finals by the Netherlands.

At 17, Baptiste Addis is the youngest representative of the French delegation at the Paris Olympic Games, and already has a silver medal in his pocket, that of the men’s team event with Jean-Charles Valladont and Thomas Chirault.

Barbelin and Addis will begin their competition on Friday at 9:30 a.m. against Italy, before a possible quarter-final in the early afternoon against South Korea, the benchmark in the discipline, if it gets rid of Taiwan in the round of 16 in the morning.

This French pair had beaten South Koreans Kim Woo-jin and Lim Si-hyeon (6-2) in the quarter-finals at the Yecheon World Cup in South Korea, before losing in the semi-finals against Japan and in the third-place play-off against Spain.
