For his part, he closed the podium by winning the bronze medal.

The exploits continued

The emotions were not over for the archery club of the prefecture city. A week later, on July 13 and 14, the archers gathered for the French championship in Saint-Avertin, in Indre-et-Loire. 424 participants were counted over the entire competition, including Clément Douce, Joël Hurlault and Alain Lucas, who came from Carcassonne. The latter competed at 50 meters, in the Senior 2 classic bow category, a first since his last participation in 2022. For his return, he totaled 583 points with 72 arrows shot, including 9 in the 10. In the final ranking, his performance allowed him to reach 80th place.

Finally, the last two defended the club’s colours in their respective categories: in Senior 1 classic bow, shot at Olympic distance, at 70 metres for Clément Douce and at 60 metres, in the Senior 3 classic bow category, at international distance for Joël Hurlault. Respectively, they were ranked 49th and 11th.
